What is the best approach to become a teen model? I really want to become a teen model. I was wondering what the best way to approach this dream is. I am one yr under the age that they start accepting portfolios at, I am going to be working on a portfolio over the summer. |
Like the other people said, send in your pictures to different agencies.
I hope you're individual though.
If you look average your dream is going to be crushed.
People are going to dislike this because I'm being "mean" but you need to get used to it.
If you want to be a model you have to live the lifestyle and accept criticism. The modeling industry is not and will not be candy coated for you. They don't care about your feelings, they care about your measurements and your face.
I hope you're ready for it if you get accepted, it's not a hobby..it's a lifestyle.
There is no room for fun and no allowance for weight gain.
Modeling has it's ups but it really is a dreadful business and I don't think it should be meant for teenagers and guyren.
You will have days where you have to go to a gig and if you're 5 minutes late they'll tell you never mind, or days when you can't hang out with your friends or go to a school dance because you have to go model.
It's a job. |
What Should a Teen Modeling Portfolio have? I'm 13 (Just turned) , Girl, and live in the central ohio area.
What do i need to have in my Portfolio?
How many shots?
Wearing what?
What's popular right now?
Anything would help. thanks so mucch. |
Whatever the agency that's interested in you wants it to have...
Seriously though, don't waste money on trying to put together your own portfolio just getting into the business at 13. Go to reputable agencies casting calls, and if one is interested they will have a photographer (or multiple photographers) who they recommend for portfolio work. They may make you pay for the shoot, but that is the only thing a quality agency should expect you to pay them.
If you can't find an agency that is interested, then a portfolio is unnecessary, and if you can, then it's better to let them guide you. An agency wants you to make money because that makes them money, and they know better than anyone here what is beneficial to you in whatever field of modeling you go into. |
How do I become a teen male model? I need tips on male modeling and also how to get a good body, right now I'm kind of scrawny. What do I do about agencies? Can portfolios be home made? Could I make it as a model? |

How to become a teen model? Okay , so I'm 14 and decided to become a teen model with my mothers permission . I know I have to find an agency and get a workers permit . But I need to know how much a portfolio is and where to get it . What's the cheapest place to get it done at ? Any advise on modeling ? Any good modeling company's out there ? Also will my school give me a workers permit ? Even if I have low grades ? One last thing . How will I get taken seriously when I'm trying to model at such a young age ? Will they even except me at this age ? |
Almost every agency starts signing models at age 14 - you are not too young. Gisele, Kate Moss and so many other models started at age 14 - that's the perfect age
You do not need to pay for a portfolio before you get an agency - it's a waste of money. Your agency will never use the pictures and you'll have to pay for new shoots once you get signed. Your agency will work with you on your portfolio AFTER they sign you
All you need are a few non-professional pictures as long as they are clear (not blurry so don't use your phone's camera), in good light (with flash to eliminate shadows) and shot against a plain white wall. The Ford models site linked above has the Photo guidelines under Step 3 of the application - if you don't submit exactly these pictures your application will be rejected
Work permits are not issued by your school - depending on your state it's usually the state department of labor who issues them, but don't worry - your agency will take care of everything. They will get the paperwork and your parents just have to sign it
Without knowing where you live it's impossible to suggest specific agencies near you as most agencies require you to live within 100 miles of their office. But some agencies like Ford, Elite, Next, Click and BMG have offices around the country
Regarding the post above, talent6.com is NOT an agency |
Where can i find teen model auditions based in the u.k? hi am 14 and i am very interested in modeling i have portfolios but i cant find any auditions on the internet does anybody no where i can find them? |
Most modeling agencies don't have auditions - Most require you to send in your pictures to them, and they call you if they think you have potential.
albamodel.info/ama.php are the top agencies in the UK. Look on each agency's individual website to find out where to submit your photos for consideration. |
How can I become a teen model(petite)? I want to do petite modeling because im about 5"4. Im size 8ish and I think I'm quite pretty (not being vain, being honest lol). I think that I actually have a real chance at doing this, but I'm a bit unsure what I have to do. Does anyone know how to like, get a good portfolio and where to apply for this kind of stuff? And whjat I'd have to do?
Thanks xoxo |
It's always best to have someone in the buisness that you know but since you don't....let's start..
Find your nearest talent agency, or one that you think looks safe and up to date..Always check for the modelling agency you want to go to is registered not just a building claiming that it is...
Once you go to the agency they will have a look at you maybe talk to you and get down all your details and then take pictures of you...
They'll keep your files and pictures etc and then you'll just have to wait and be patient....You might not get a call for a long time or you might get a call straight away..It depends on how popular the agency is or if casting directors want a specific person from an agency or if they want a selection of models or actors etc...
Remember to have faith and good luck!
Hope this helps! |
Places for pre-teens and teens to get modeling portfolios? Im 12 and I am 5 foot 8 and blonde hair and blue eyes. I want to model and do this for fun... it would be nice and fun. |
You can go to Hollister Co. or any minor modeling company.
But first off, it's not fun, for the most part. If you become a model, you're handing over your body, your face, your hair, even your eye color to them: that means haircuts, mounds of makeups, digital adaptions, eye contacts with different colors, criticisms, meticulous detailing, plucking, cleaning, and consuming hours of your time. Not to mention teeth whitenings, chemical sprays, and a lot of paperworks that involves insurance policies, medical info, etcetra etcetra. |
How to become a teen model? I am currently 16 years old, I'm around 5'10" so I'm pretty sure I'm tall enough if a agency has requirements for teen models, but I'm just not sure how to go about getting into the teen model world?
I'm working on getting a photographer and putting together a portfolio, but what all should be in the portfolio?
And how will I find a good agency?
I really would love some advice on how to get started with all this. As of right now I'm lost... |
Ok, So your round the right age and you have the height for a female.Plus you think you have the look.
Okay to get into an agency YOU DO NOT require a Professional portfolio all you need is cheap pictures to send to agencies which can be found on Alba Info(UK) and Models.com if you are outside the UK.The photos you need to send to an agency should not be poesy they should be head on and strong. throw in a little side view and long shots. Get a family member to take them of you.
Once you have done that send it to an agency
Good Look. |

| Yes, every aspiring model needs a portfolio. Schedule an appointment with a local photographer. Make sure every photo in your portfolio shows off your best features. |
Height and age of teen catalogue models? What is the height and age of teen catalogue models (Delias, JC Penney, Old Navy)?
I am 5'3 and 20 years old, and I look young for my age. I am not sure if teen models really have to be in their teens. If I send a portfolio to an agency, should I request to be a commercial print model (they accept any height, shape, and size) instead? |
| you're way to short to be a model, sorry. they want the ones that are like 5'10 and up! |
